Invention v.s Inventor/ Light bulb/ DE
Top 5 facts about the invention:
Sources:
- The light bulb works by the emission of light coursed by heating the filament, or incandescence.
- It had lots of people involved such as Humphry Davy, Warren de la Rue, William Straite, Joseph Saw, and the most known Thomas Alva Edison.
- It’s invention took place in 2 main countries: England and the U.S.
- The final and commercial design was invented on November 4th of 1879 in the U.S.
- During its history it had a lot of changes in its model and components. Firstly they used voltaic piles and charcoal electrodes. Secondly, they used platinum filaments. Thirdly, they used a clockwork mechanism for improving longevity. Finally, they used carbonized paper filaments.

Top 5 facts about the inventor:
- Thomas Alva Edison was born February 11, 1847 in Milan, Ohio.
- Thomas Edison died on October 18, 1931 in West Orange, New Jersey.
- Thomas Edison parents were Samuel Ogden Edison, Jr. and Nancy Matthews Elliott.
- In 1876, Thomas set up his first lab in Menlo Park, California. This was the world’s first industrial research laboratory.
- In the beginning of his life, Edison worked as a telegraph operator. This job inspired many of his inventions in the telecommunications field.
Invention vs Inventor/Printing Press/ Rafael González and Christopher Pesantez
Inventor/ Rafael González
Johannes Gutenberg :
1. Gutenberg printed the first book by moveable type printing press, known as the Gutenberg Bible.
2.Gutenberg actually created the printing press in an attempt to offset losses from a failed attempt selling metal mirrors.
3.Gutenberg also created an oil-based ink, which was more effective than the water based inks other printers in the era used.
4.Gutenberg was in debt and unable to pay back his loan to Johan Fust. Fust sued and won the suit and took over Gutenberg’s printing business.
5.Not only is Gutenberg’s method of printing credited with revolutionizing the production of books, but also for promoting the development of sciences, arts and religion through text.
Invention/ Rafael González
1. Helped the creation of books.
2. Helped the creation of libraries.
3. Was created in 1440.
4. The inventor of the printing press was Johannes Gutenberg.
5. The idea of the printing press was originated in China.

Telephone / Rafael González.
Telephone
-Questions:
1.Who? : The telephone It was invented by Antonio Meucci in 1854.
2.What? : The telephone is a telecommunication device designed to transmit acoustic signals remotely by means of electrical signals.
3.When? : In 1871, Meucci, due to financial difficulties, could only present a brief description of his invention but he made his first prototype in 1854.
4.Where? : It was created in Canada by Antonio Meucci.
5. How? : This device was created by Antonio Meucci and consists of two circuits working together: the conversation circuit, which is the analog part, and the dialing circuit, which is responsible for dialing and calling. Both the voice signals and the dial and call signals, as well as the power supply share the same pair of wires. It is a balanced line of 600O impedance (electric transmission line) and the most striking thing is that the signals coming from the phone and those that are directed to it travel through it simultaneously.
6.Why? : The telephone was designed to transmit conversations by means of electrical signals to those who are far away and want to communicate.

Technological breakthroughs of history/ Steam Engine/ DE
Firstly, Thomas Savery developed a steam-water pum which was the first practical use of external combustion, and later James Watt perfected the steam engines.
Section 2. What?
Section 3. Why?
After Thomas Savery developed the steam-water pump, James Watt saw some defects in that model as he got interested in steam engines and decided to improve that design. Also in the new one he prevented enormous losses of steam.
Section 4. Where?
The steam engine was inventes in England starting by Thomas Savery with the first practical use of external combustion (steam-water lump).
