Open day presentation/ Daniela Endara

As we know already, air pollution is caused by factories, power plants, cars, airplanes, burning fossil fuels, fumes from spray cans, and some other pollutants. Also we know that some consequences are the disruption of plant evolution,  global warming, greenhouse effect, formation of acid rain and respiratory diseases like bronchitis even in children. Adittionally, we know that some facts are that one of every nine deaths in the world is related to air pollution and that even in our home we have contributors of air pollution such as stoves, ovens and chimneys.

But, what about the solutions for air pollutions? Well, we can start preventing it by trying to use more bicycles, skates or walking, so we prevent burning fuels and producing toxic gases for the atmosphere; stop using strong paints or aromatizers and use natural materials such as aromatic candles. Also we can plant more trees and have plants around us, so they eliminate CO2 and imrpove air’s quality; we should stop killing whales, for example, because although they are animals, they absorb the CO2 as well and exhale oxygen to water and the environment. Finally we can buy biodegradable products so they would make landfills stop producing toxic gases when the garbage is burned.
